good night!

jenn just took her sleeping stuff, i’ll probably be up for a little bit longer but it looks like we’re gonna get some rest for the big day.

they brought in a cot-like chair for me to sleep in which is nice, but we’re gonna be dealing with the ghost that lives in the radiator all night…like every 30 minutes it sounds like someone’s trying to break in the window! good times!

Forgot My Glasses!

Looks like I forgot to pack my glasses in all the excitement getting ready to come to the hospital. Steve is now on his way home to get them, so I can take out my contacts for the night and settle in for some reading!

I am still not in much pain at all, but I have a funny feeling that will change very quickly come tomorrow at 6:30 a.m.

needles!

nurse judy is here giving jennie an IV. i’m trying not to look so we don’t have a repeat of my foot doctor episode! i don’t think they’re really giving her anything tonight…the nurse explained it to us but a funny Raymond was on in the background so i wasn’t really paying attention.

jennie’s not really feeling any pain right now and she seems pretty comfortable. i’m pretty comfortable too, but i’m wondering where i am gonna sleep tonight. i guess in this chair.

step one

well the doctor was just here to start jennie on the cervadil. that stays in for 12 hours and then we wake up and get some pitocin. well, not me. i wake up and get some breakfast!

i got on the internet, but i can’t get on with MY laptop, only with jennie’s. (yes, we brought TWO laptops plus my blackberry to the hospital. we are nerds). it might be time for me to get the new macbook pro! donations accepted.

Well, we’re checked in. Jennie’s on the monitor and I’m sitting here trying to figure ou how to get on the information superhighway.

Hopefully I won’t have to cause a ruckus!

The last supper

We made the cut so we’re out grabbing a pizza before we head to the hospital at 5pm. I was pretty anxious when I called at 3 to see if they’d take us and they told me to call back in a half hour.
