Nighttime Update

Just wanted to check in and let everyone know how I am doing and what my situation is as of tonight. I have felt pretty good today on the whole, my temperature has not gotten above 99.0.

The hospital staff has finally narrowed down my infection to that of E coli in the urine. During labor my urine must have backed up into my kidneys, therefore the bacterial infection. So they have started me on the proper antibiotics, and we just need for my fever to remain at 98.6 for 24 hours. Then we can go home and I’ll just take oral antibiotics at home for two weeks. My last temp taken about 2 hours ago was 98.8, so it looks like I’m on the right track.

Here’s hoping we’re home in time for Thanksgiving as it’s my favorite holiday.
